Book review – Blissed out with Buttons

January 26, 2014

I LOVE buttons so reviewing “Blissed out with Buttons ” seemed a perfect fit:) There are a large variety of ideas in the book, spanning from jewellery, to CD suncatchers.

I found a few ideas I already do, (so to speak) christmas card and button magnets. However there are lots of new ideas. The projects vary in difficulty, with lots which children would enjoy making.

It seems only right and proper to have a go at following the instructions to make an item or too.

First up a felt heart, my daughter chose this as her project to make. Life moved on so I made it, not a hardship!!

Crochet button necklace… imagine my delight to find it was quick and easy (despite two glasses of wine, well it was Friday evening!!). Do you think I can now say I have completed 2013’as New Years resolution learning how to crochet… stretching it too far?!!

The instructions were clear to follow for both projects. As with most creative books some projects appealed more than others.

If you are visiting for Grow Your Blog your are very welcome, my post is here🙂 I am running a giveaway for this bag, pop a link on the Grow Your Blog post and you will be entered:)

Thanks to everyone who took the time to comment re the quilt. I am encouraged:)  My daughter and I had a great time rummaging through pinkish man shirts at a jumble sale yesterday:)

As usual I am popping by Handmade Harbour 🙂

The button book looks very interesting. I never seem to have enough buttons, despite the fact I always remove them from old clothes.
