#Remarkable2015 Update

March 8, 2015

Do you remember I am doing a free photography course for the year? I had fallen a bit behind, however yesterday a day trip out gave me the opportunity to practice. I took my phone plus DSLR and snapped away.

Wet feet

Some of my favourite pictures are ones I took on my Iphone. Just how much sea water can the tot fit in his wellies ?!!

With this image I have played with the background in picmonkey, to emphasize the ice cream.

Harbour sheds

Harbour Shed

My eye was drawn to this particular door by the contrast between the brand new door on the old shed.

I like the texture of the seaweed against the texture of the mud.. the tide was out as we walked along the harbour.

This months focus is on understanding depth of field, learning how to use it for sharp images or only a small part of the image being focussed for emphasis.

One of the aspects of doing the course is the fact that it reminds me to take photographs, which I really enjoy 🙂 You are not too late to join in (its free!!), or follow my progress on instagram

I hope you have had some sunshine this weekend and managed to get outdoors:)

Love the shot with the blue door, the contrast is fab. And the pebbles/wood shallow depth of field photo is just lovely. You have a real eye for interesting shots.
