DIY Halloween Game

Materials:

  • 3 1L Yoghurt Pots
  • Orange Paper
  • Modge Podge
  • Black sparkly foam or card
  • 2 Yards of Halloween ribbon

Wash out your yoghurt pots thoroughly and allow to dry.

Using a sharp craft knife cut out a small circle in the lid of the yoghurt pot. I used a glass as a rough guide but any small round object will work. The hole should be bigger enough for a hand but not too big so the child can peer in.

Rip up orange paper and decoupage so the yoghurt pot so it is fully covered. I have used a thinned down PVA glue, modge podge works equally well.

With the lid fold strips of paper over the cut edge and finish on the inside. This ensures the cut edge is not sharp in any way.

Next lets have fun with black card, or sparkly black foam card to draw fun shapes in Halloween face designs. You can sketch your own with the children or print my free downloadable designs. Cut out the designs and glue onto the sides of each yoghurt pot. I am using a glue gun to adhere the shapes.

Add suitably coloured ribbon around the top of your yoghurt pot lid. I have used Fabric Tac Glue to secure.

Lastly fill your trick or treat containers, I am using candy, spaghetti and slime but you can choose whatever you like.

Now all you have to decide is your contents for the trick or treat containers!
